Portable hearing loop systems are available for use in situations away from home or for health care and social workers that interact with the hard of hearing in temporary locations.
The Hearing Hotspot is a portable table top device that a hard of hearing person would own and use. The Hotspot is used to help the hard of hearing person to better hear and understand the person (up to about two or three others) across a table or desk. Set it on the table or desk in front of you, turn on the hearing aid telecoil and hear! For noisier environments, or superior sound quality for the listener, an external microphone is recommended.
The Clipboard Induction Loop is a clipboard capable of producing a hearing loop that can be heard by the hearing aid telecoil. This device is well suited to health care, social workers and others who interact with the hard of hearing in their homes or in clinics. The clipboard is used to carry the notes and charts, thus avoiding the need to carry extra equipment when interacting with the hard of hearing. For noisier environments, or superior sound quality for the listener, an external microphone is recommended.
